It is imperative that we respect each child and make them feel safe and loved when they are in my care. We believe that children will thrive developmentally when the learning environment offers opportunities for a child to learn through play.
We strongly believe that “It takes a village to raise a child.” The family’s involvement in a child’s daily activities is very necessary because each child is unique and has different needs. The family’s involvement will provide insight on how we can collectively meet the needs of each child. We believe when a family shows interest in a child’s activities, it boosts the child’s self-esteem and confidence. We believe that a relationship between the family and educator creates stability and consistency for a child. We involve the families to show my appreciation and gratitude for entrusting me with the responsibility to teach and support the children’s developmental needs.
We will fulfill my role as an early childhood educator by putting each child’s needs first. We will continue to be compassionate and empathetic to each child. We will respect each child’s individuality and uniqueness. We will not leave a child behind, each child is included in our daily activities without showing bias or prejudice. It is my utmost duty to ensure that each child is developing emotionally, physically, socially and cognitively while in my program. We will guide each child to make positive decisions and demonstrate desirable behavior. We will fulfill my role as an early childhood educator by being supportive and supplying resources to each child so they can reach their full potential. We believe that children are sponges, therefore, it is imperative that we conduct ourselves as a positive role model so that it will be reciprocated.
